Material Honesty in the Modern Home

The most convincing interiors never pretend to be something they are not.

Let a material be what it is. Real wood shows its grain, stone reveals its veining, plaster carries the faint record of the hand that applied it — depth no laminate or faux finish can imitate. Honest materials also change: brass darkens, leather burnishes, oak deepens. We specify for that, so a room looks better in five years than on install day.

An honest material has nothing to hide, so it never dates. It simply matures.
